Pelvic Health Physiotherapy
Pelvic floor physiotherapists are trained in treating dysfunctions of the pelvic and abdominal muscles for both men and women. Women may benefit from pelvic health physiotherapy to deal with symptoms of menopause, pre and postnatal concerns, prolapse, bladder or bowel leakage, painful intercourse, recovery from gynecological cancer, etc. Men may benefit from pelvic health physiotherapy for pelvic pain/chronic prostatitis/ testicular pain, concerns following prostate cancer, bowel or bladder leakage, erectile dysfunction, etc. If you have questions about whether pelvic floor physiotherapy may be of benefit to your particular situation, you can book a free 15-minute discovery call, and we would be happy to discuss your concerns.
Orthopedic Physiotherapy
When working together with our physiotherapists you can expect your injuries to be assessed in a completely integrated way. We use a whole body approach, taking into account the way your entire body works.
Our focus is on getting you back to moving well with strength and confidence whether you have a new, acute injury or are struggling with a persistent or recurring problem. We will work with you one on one, with minimal emphasis on passive treatments such as heat, ice, and TENS machines. While these can certainly play a role in promoting healing, our philosophy is that these should only be an adjunct to more hands-on, active rehabilitation. We will help you shift your focus from pain management to movement freedom, moving the way your body was designed.
Paediatric Physiotherapy.
Our paediatric physiotherapists recognize that children are not small adults and encourage children to achieve their optimal development and move to the best of their abilities through play and age-appropriate fun and instruction. Paediatric physiotherapists have specific training in assessing and treating developmental disorders such as torticollis, flat head, club foot, and achieving gross motor milestones such sitting, crawling, standing walking. They work with children with neurodevelopmental conditions such as CP, Down's syndrome, and coordination disorders. as well as orthopedic concerns such as fractures, sprains, and surgery.
If you aren't sure if paediatric physiotherapy is the best fit for your situation, please book a free discovery call and we would be happy to answer any of your questions.
